[뉴스핌=고인원 기자] 그리스의 지난해 재정적자나 누적 정부 부채는 당초 예상했던 것보다 훨씬 더 컸던 것으로 나타났다.

유럽연합 통계청인 유로스타트는 22일 유럽연합(EU) 국가들의 작년 한해 정부부채 및 예산 적자 수치를 발표했다.

이 결과 작년 한해 그리스의 예산 적자는 국내총생산(GDP)의 13.6%에 이르렀으며, 정부 부채는 GDP의 115.1%에 육박했다고 밝혔다.

다만 통계청은 그리스가 제출한 자료의 신빙성에 대해 판단을 보류할 것을 당부하며, GDP 대비 예산 적자는 0.3~0.5% 포인트, 정부 부채는 5~7% 포인트 가량 수정될 수 있다고 밝혔다.

유로존 전체로는 작년 한해 예산 적자가 GDP의 6.3%, 정부 부채는 78.7%에 이른 것으로 나타나 이 지역 재정 상황에 대한 우려를 높였다.
